With 'De Blijvers', Cie Tartaren brings stories about feeling at home, loss and longing outdoors, onto the street. Palestinian storytellers and Tartaren with a refugee background share personal stories and actions in different settings.
The audience walks along from place to place and comes close to what usually remains indoors. The performance is created in collaboration with Palestinian storytellers, Theatre Day Productions Gaza and Tartaren.
About the company
Cie Tartaren is a socio-artistic theatre workshop in Leuven and Genk. Together with professional makers, they create theatre in co-creation, bringing a strong artistic vision together with lived content.
Through its practice, Cie Tartaren builds a lasting place for participatory art. The company wants to create space for voices that are heard too little, show different perspectives within artistic creations and strengthen access to art for everyone.
