About the company

Cirque Mécanique is a young player in the Flemish circus landscape, but builds on more than twenty years of experience from founder Joris Janssens. After his adventures with Ell Circo D'ell Fuego and De Machienerie, he brings his passion for mechanics and circus together in his own creative workshop.

Joris combines three areas of expertise: acrobat, teacher and builder. As a specialist in teeterboard acrobatics, he has performed internationally, taught at renowned training programmes and built circus installations for companies and schools at home and abroad. With Cirque Mécanique, he translates that experience into poetic circus installations in which wood, metal, movement and imagination reinforce one another.
