Shams reflects on family history, memories and what people carry from one generation to the next.

Big questions intersect with small, everyday moments. What does pain do to us? And how can we keep going? In this monologue, Aya Sabi and Dounia Mahammed search for comfort as something that can linger just as much as pain.
